KenRox Contracts Limited have diversed into concentrating and offering Health and Safety Training and Tutoring for the Construction Industry.
Having spent 39 years with in construction from a young apprentice bench joiner, progressing through all the relevant departments and roles, on site fixer / fitter, drawing office, setting out, estimating, buying, contracts and project managing through to becoming a contracts / operations director for other companies prior to starting up from scratch my own specialist interiors fit out and refurbishment company spanning some 11 years.
Myself Tony Dunn decided it was the right timeand decision to downshift from the day to day pressures, worries and anxiety of contracting within the construction industry and follow my long term ambition of entering the Health and Safety side however, concentrate on the tutoring and training element to pass on my vast knowledge and experiences based on real life scenarios.
Not only was it a long term ambition but the want of doing something I have always thouroughly enjoyed, that being spending time teaching and passing on learingtechnics and experiences to individuals. The amount of time I have heard he, she, they are useless with no thought of everyone has to start somewhere with no knowledge or experience so brand new like a being a baby having to learn and watch and learn, hence why i have always stated that if he . she, they are no good or stupid as commonly used, that is down to not being taught correctly or having no time spent with somebody explaining. What ever they are they are not born with eperience nor the incorrect knowledge as knowledge has to be taught and not a given talent. It is down to being taught and trained correctly, therefore don’t just blame – find the root cause of the issue and look at providing solutions rather than obsticles and problems collectively not as individuals.
As stated above the years of thoughts became a decision to which the decision was made and as Covid affected so much and so many I spent downtime in self financing and carrying outg training courses to obtain the necessary qualifications such as NEBOSH, NEBOSH FIRE, NEBOSH FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT, IOSH as well as many more qualifications and accreditations. Having the qualifications and accreditations was good however to teach and train others I needed the AET Level 3 teaching qualification (PTTLS) which I duly passed allowing me to teach, train and tutor subjects I have qualifications and accreditations in.
To that I have been for the past 2 years working with in the Health and Safety Industry, training, teaching, tutoring, with some amazing feedback from many delegates on the courses expessing that they felt that course was made easier in following due to the knowledge and experience I have gained from my own experience of working within the Construction Industry allowing me to clearly explain reasons and situations with real life experiences to demonstrate inturn allowing me to get subject matters over rather than just an academic point of view.
Kenrox Contracts Limited are not trading as a specialist interiors company any longer however, I choose to keep the previous details of projects and experience etc. on the website as supporting information as a history profile and background providing details of the wide range and variety of the different sectors, areas and experiences worked in over the many years.
